By: Diane Nix For the past 11 years when the end of August comes rolling around, I remember. Memories flood over me like the waters of Hurricane Katrina. My family evacuated our home in New Orleans 12 years ago this week. A home, in which we had lived for only three weeks. I had complained…
Week 49, Thursday Anne Wright But if we confess our sins to him, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all wickedness. 1 John 1:9 (nlt) The definition of purity is “freedom from anything that contaminates; freedom from guilt.” By this definition, purity in a person’s life…
…leave your sacrifice there at the altar. Go and be reconciled to that person. Then come and offer your sacrifice to God. Matt. 5: 24 Truth….church people get angry at one another. Sadly, it seems that sometimes the meanest people on God’s planet are His children. Have mercy! We can be angry, critical, faultfinding,…
Week 39, Friday Rhonda Kelley Now the end of all things is near; therefore, be clear-headed and disciplined for prayer. In this world we will find trouble… (John 16:33) Such encouraging words aren’t they? Ha! Actually the words right before this phrase are even better… I say this to you so that you will have peace. What??!! Not sure about you, but neither of these phrases brings me much comfort. Most of the time when…

Wow, I love the way you tell your story. My marriage too has encountered that carcinogen. When i first found out i was wounded and thought there was something wrong with me. In counseling I found out this was not because i was not enough for my husband…yes, this was a hard time but when we began to ask for help and let people see us for who we really were God was able to bring healing. He began to surround us with people we could trust&people who wanted to see us in a moving, expanding, loving place with God and with each other. Not the we have attained this but we have learned doing this journey in secret is never joyful.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have heard of this happening to so many people in and out of the ministry. It’s one of Satan’s many tools he uses to blind us. I am thankful for healing from this sin as well. God bless!
I accidentally posted too soon. I meant I am thankful for healing for those who have encountered this sin as well, not for me personally, although I know no one is immune to it.
