Meet Diane Nix – Founder of Finishing the Work INC

Over half of pastors’ spouses (53%) are employed outside of their church, (with 44% working full-time (40+ hrs./week) and 56% working part-time hours; she will also serve a minimum of 20 hours a week in the church she and her husband are serving. And then she will take care of her children and her husband. For the most part, these women say they are happy with their lives. But all of them say, we are lonely and we are tired. With the average size church in the continental U.S. is 250 or less you can see why it is important for us to offer what we do and to raise the monies needed to carry out this mission and call.

There isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t hear from a ministry wife who is grateful we do what we do. This calling is the passion of my heart. Your donations help to make the vision a reality. Thank you for partnering with me as we create safe, refreshing, renewing spaces and content for the ministry wife!

What is a “Refresh Retreat”? Our goal:  Restore, Refuel, Replenish & Refresh and then return home to serve with a Renewed passion for the high call of being in Ministry and being a Ministry Wife!

Contagious Joy understands the demands placed on the Ministry wife.  Because of this, we have created a getaway just for this woman.  A woman who might need some one on one time away without the distractions of the “glass house.”  A time for her to meet other women just like her.  An iron sharpening iron time where she can develop like-minded friendships.  

Total Budget for Refresh Retreats – $70,250

Contagious Joy understands the demands placed on the Ministry wife.  This is for emergencies that pop up during retreats.

Coinciding with the National convention of the Southern Baptist Convention.  This Expo will feature 21-25 exhibits ministering to the heart of 2,000 women.  Join us as we host this event in New Orleans, LA.

Contagious Joy Website update– Needed updates and freshening up the ministry site and continued security updates.   – Priority Budget item

Podcast Launch in February.  Due to COVID – Producing 40 for the year.  “Coffee Chats with Diane Nix”  or on our Media Page.  To follow Blog post focus.  Devotional videos produced by Diane for use on Websites for teaching.  Vimeo.  Instagram posts.  Graphic design.

1 & 2 hour – Online zoom conferences held for ministry wives taught by seasoned ministry wives.

Finishing the Work, Inc. is the non-profit ministry of Preston and Diane Nix.  Contagiousjoy4him.com(CJ4H) is the primary project for Finishing the Work.  All monies donated at this time, unless otherwise designated, will be used to fund the project of CJ4H. Each year from 2011 until 2017 Finishing the Work, Inc. has filed a 990 form with the IRS. In 2018 and beyond, CJ4H total donations were above the $50,000 and therefore tax returns were filed.  If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.  Thank you.
