I knew something was up. We had a saying, “There’s a disturbance in the force”. This tongue in cheek statement was made when there was no apparent reason for feelings of uneasiness and yet those feelings were present. You know – the feeling that something was happening that you couldn’t quite put a finger on….
Week 18, Wednesday Debbie Stuart Many of the Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the woman’s testimony, “He told me everything I ever did.” John 4:39 It all started with my mother. She married young and found herself in a hopeless situation. One Saturday morning her neighbor, Jean, invited her to church. She…
By: Emily Dean Ladies, I want to share with you about something I am really good at. In fact, I could really consider myself an expert in this. I am really good at being afraid. Anyone know what I’m talking about? Have you ever felt so well acquainted that fear could be your constant companion?…
Week 10, Monday Teresa Brown Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8 My backyard is a little slice of paradise. It is not fancy or sophisticated but is full of a hodgepodge of sweet-smelling flowers, wild birds, and big…
“O LORD God of Heaven’s Armies! Where is there anyone as mighty as you, O LORD? You are entirely faithful.” Psalm 89:8 Lately I’ve been fascinated by all of the biblical references to the “God of Heaven’s Armies.” In the Old Testament, the God of Heaven’s Armies is both just, and merciful. By Christi Watson A few weeks ago, Diane Nix asked to republish my article entitled “Confessions of A PK.” The article ran in 2016. I was a different person then. We were all different people then. Wow, I love the way you tell your story. My marriage too has encountered that carcinogen. When i first found out i was wounded and thought there was something wrong with me. In counseling I found out this was not because i was not enough for my husband…yes, this was a hard time but when we began to ask for help and let people see us for who we really were God was able to bring healing. He began to surround us with people we could trust&people who wanted to see us in a moving, expanding, loving place with God and with each other. Not the we have attained this but we have learned doing this journey in secret is never joyful.
Thank you for sharing your story. I have heard of this happening to so many people in and out of the ministry. It’s one of Satan’s many tools he uses to blind us. I am thankful for healing from this sin as well. God bless!
I accidentally posted too soon. I meant I am thankful for healing for those who have encountered this sin as well, not for me personally, although I know no one is immune to it.
