Rock Solid Foundation

As you read this I’ll be on mission in Jeremie, Haiti.  I’m part of the leadership team for this trip from my daughter’s school.  We are  headed to Haiti to work with The Mission Church in Hammond, Louisiana.  This church has an incredible 20 year plan for Haiti.  I am so impressed with the foundation of this ministry, I cannot wait to get there and experience what the Father is doing through a Church with great vision!
Foundations are essential to building a sturdy, well fortified, trusted structure.  From the highest superstructures to the smallest congregations solid foundations will set a course of success or failure.  My girls were just baby’s when I started laying a foundation of identity.  Whenever I would put them in their car seats I would say to them, “Remember who you are and whose you are.”  My meaning behind these words:

  • Remember who you belong to.  You belong to your daddy and me.  You are representing our family.
  • Remember whose you are.  Above all you belong to God.  You are HIS daughter and He has provided a great foundation for living out your life.

This is Good Friday I hope that you are thinking and dwelling on the fact that the foundation of our faith rests on the solid foundation of sacrifice.  God had a plan. A Rock solid plan. He has built His church on the plan and His Son willingly died and then rose again in order that the plan was fully built and established.  So on this day.  This Good Friday.  This horrible yet wonderful,  sacrificial day.  Let’s remember who we are and whose we are!

This Sunday Mission Jeremie will stand shoulder to shoulder with 175 Haitians as we worship the risen King!  We will not understand the language.  We will not be with our earthly families but praise the Lord we will experience a little of heaven as we worship the Lord shoulder to shoulder each worshiping in our own tongue. Will you pray for us? Pray for divine appointments and life changing opportunities. Pray as we show the Jesus film for children(in Haitian Creole) that many children will accept Jesus as their personal Savior!  Pray for the darkness to be held back and the LOVE of God to explode in this part of the world

Happy Resurrection Ladies!

I Love You because he first loved me,

Diane Nix

I think in fairly simple terms, such as—in God’s world there are only two families, and two spirits. There is the Holy Spirit, and the unholy spirit.
