Landscape changes are inevitable. Try as we might cannot control them. Our response to each one is vital to our healthy emotional and spiritual health. This list is not complete but these 10 steps have helped me stay connected when I didn’t know if I was going to get through my landscape change.

A definition of an adversary is one who contends with, opposes, or resists. You and I are contending with a great adversary. Whether we acknowledge him or not. He is alive and very active.
When I forget my pressure release valve, “There she blows!” When my priorities are right, when my life flows in the right direction, I handle daily pressure better. The struggle comes when I live from the wrong position; doing rather than being will always invite overwhelming pressure. Living life based on what we do, or what others are doing or not doing, can cause stress to mount until something has to give!
I know of a church with a beloved staff member who was greatly admired and respected. He served faithfully for many years, working and ministering alongside members of the church. Yet eventually, past transgressions came to light, forcing him to resign. The church was in an uproar, some arguing the “grace case” and others believing he had disqualified himself for ministry.
