Spirit-Filled
Spirit-filled living is the Christ life and His life poured out through us. It is loving God wholeheartedly—no distractions. Spirit-filled living is what I desire in my life. As a woman of God, I want the Scripture to be alive in my heart and to be walked out in my life.
The apostle Paul was led by the Spirit to write these amazing verses in Romans 12. Join me in praying through these verses and applying them to life in a practical way.
“Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good” (verse 9). Father, make my love pure, for You and for others. Help my love to be sincere as I encounter people today.
“Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Honor one another above yourselves” (verse 10). Lord, help me to personally love others. I choose to love them faithfully, as You have loved me. Convict me to honor them above myself.
“Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord. Be joyful in hope” (verses 11-12). I desire to be positive in how I love today. Give me Your joy in serving You completely. With Your joy I can live in hope for what You have in store.
“Patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (verse 12). God, Your Son was patient in hardship and faithful in prayer. Father, I need Your Spirit; make me a woman of prayer. Help me not to be in a hurry, but to trust in You for the day.
“Share with God’s people who are in need. Practice hospitality” (verse 13). Finally, Lord, stir in my heart a deep love for the poor and the needy. I ask that you create in me a heart of hospitality so that when others see me they may sense the warmth of Christ’s love for them.
Breathe on me, breath of God. Fill me with life anew,
That I may love what Thou dost love and do what Thou wouldst do.[i]
Father, make me authentic as I walk under Your Spirit’s control in the way I live today. Amen.
