Speak and Live

For as many as are the promises of God, in Him they are yes; therefore also through Him is our Amen to the glory of God through us.  (2 Corinthians 1:20 NASB)

Are you living a “Yes and Amen” ministry journey? Years ago when God called your husband and you to the glorious work of serving in ministry, do you remember that call?  Is there a time when God has spoken promises to your heart through His Word?  In 2 Corinthians, Paul is speaking to the church in Corinth concerning letting their yes be a yes and their no being no.  God is always faithful. HIS YES IS ALWAYS YES!  “He sent his Son as the greatest sign of His Yes in fulfilling the promise He made to Abraham that by his seed all the nations of earth will gain blessing and His yes was heard through David’s offspring to establish his throne forever.” (New American Commentary)
God will always give us the strength to answer through Jesus with an AMEN (So BE IT- SURELY). While the journey may be uncertain to us HE knows where we ARE and HE is NEVER late but exactly on time with a RESOUNDING YES IN OUR JOURNEY!  Keep speaking the YES of HIS calling over your life and LIVE the AMEN as you walk by faith and Power in the ONE who has called you to this work.
What does it look like to live a YES and AMEN ministry journey?  I’ll see you in forums and devotional to talk about it.Praying for you!

  • Peace – Do You Have It?

Many Advent practices point us to this week as the focus of peace. Many call the purple candle of this week – “The Bethlehem Candle.” Can you imagine the ride to Bethlehem for Mary? I think of her many times during this season. She was young, and though devoted to God, I know she had many moments of fear, anxiety, wonder, and perhaps even worry. Plenty was going on to steal her peace.
