An Invitation

Most women I know today struggle with their identity. We are bombarded with so many messages about who we are. Even those of us who know who we are in Christ – have religious messages and the pressures of everyday life not to mention the crisis we live in and around at any given moment. I KNOW this – if it were not for the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ I would not be here today.

I invite you to consider the most important decision you will ever make in your life. It will be the beginning of a great adventure. Unlike any decision you have ever made in your life. The messages to women have never changed since the beginning of time. Messages – like – “You don’t really matter.” “You’re ugly.” “If they really knew me – they would never like me.” “I am so lonely.” “I can’t do it anymore.” “Why am I alone?” “What’s wrong with me?” These messages and many more have caused women to look to this past and present world for answers.

Our Savior (Jesus Christ) began long ago showing the value of women. He started with the woman named Mary. He called her mother and honored her. We then find examples in scripture with the Samaritan woman at the well who had been married many times and was living with another man at the time who was not her husband. He asked for a drink and He offered her “living water.” He never condemned but called for repentance and spoke love and truth into her life. She left telling others about the one who had known every thing about her and not condemned her. Then there was the woman caught in adultery where the mob was going to stone her – Jesus intervened knelt down and began to draw in the dirt. He spoke to the crowd, “The one without any sin cast the first stone.” Slowly from the oldest to the youngest the crowd of men dropped their stones, withdrew until it was the woman lying on the ground and Jesus. He then turned to her and asked her, “Woman where are your accusers? Neither do I condemn you – Go and Sin no more.”

You see our Savior is waiting for you to turn to Him and allow him to become your defender, your helper and most of all and first of all your SAVIOR!

First, you must agree… that you have sinned and this separates you from God

Romans 3:23 says “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” Every woman I have ever met knows that she has fallen short of perfection in her life. She knows that she has missed God’s mark of perfection and is really tired of trying to do it in her own strength. Romans 6:23a says, “The wages of sin is death….” We can’t work or earn our way into heaven. Ephesians 2:8-9 says, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man (woman) should boast.

Second, you must believe…that God loves you and desires to have a relationship with you.

No matter what you might have done – just like the woman at the well and the woman caught in adultery God desires to have a real relationship with you. But He is Holy and just and because of this He cannot be in the presence of our sin – He must punish sin. So because of His great love for you He provided a way for us to know Him and spend eternity with Him in heaven. Romans 6:23b reads, “BUT the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Third, you must Give your life to God and ask Him in prayer to forgive you and save you from your sin through Jesus Christ His Son.

Romans 5:8, “But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners.” Jesus is the perfect Son of our Father God. God sent Jesus to take our sin on himself, pay the penalty for our sin and Jesus did this willingly. He did this by dying for us on the cross. Because of this you and I can accept the sacrifice of Jesus for our sins and call out to Him as our Lord and we will be saved. Romans 10:9,10 “…If you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Jesus from the dead, you shall be saved; for with the heart man believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”

This is the most important decision of your life! It will be the difference in living in slavery to what this world tells you are and what Jesus your Savior and the Father God says that you are!

If you would like to make this decision you can pray the prayer below.

Dear God, I know that I am a sinner. I know that I have messed up a lot of my life without you. I don’t want to do this any more. I believe you love me and because of this great love you sent Jesus to die in place of my sin so that I could know you. I ask Jesus to come into my heart and to please forgive me of my sin and be the Lord of my life. I am placing my trust in You alone for my salvation and I accept your free gift of eternal life. Thank you for saving me. In Jesus name, Amen.

If you prayed this prayer would you please email me in a prayer request? I would love to rejoice with you and to pray with you. I would also like to send you some information that will help you in the days ahead to experience all that the Father and his Son have for your journey in this life! I am praying for you!
