Being in full-time ministry it’s very difficult to have time to get away and just be refreshed. To win a cruise like this would be an awesome gift for anyone in ministry. Starbucks plus coffee puts a smile on my face. Love the aroma as soon as you walk in the door and love leaving with the goodness of the aroma as I leave.

There are a lot of people and things trying to pull us in different directions. The “thief” loves to use this to distract us.

I would like to hear from all of you about some of the tricks the “thief” has tried to use on you and your family. What have you found helps when you come up against them?

God is our only hope in this world. He provides what we need when we need it and sometimes even provides our wants.

So interesting to find your devotion on hope today! I was reading in John 14 today. Jesus had just told Peter in the previous chapter that where He was going his followers could not come until later. I can only imagine their disparity and confusion. After leaving everything to follow Jesus, Jesus was going away! But how comforting the words of John 14:1-6! That’s our hope…Living Hope!

As strippin may be painful it does not compare to the peace and joy that comes when God gives back . It is so overwhelming that words are not enough to thank him. I have be “strippin” and I thought I would not make it but God comes in and the replacement is worth the tears . His present,his love is all I need to make it.

Girls, I have been stripped even in ministry and the more this occurs in my life the more I realize that Jesus really is the only one to run to. He is my hope and my strength. Ministry is challenging from the moving around, raising our children and functioning in a fishbowl, to sharing our husbands with those in the church who need him rather it is counseling or visitation. Our roles are very unique but it truly is a blessing to serve Him in this capacity.

Love is an action word…we must live out that action. God does not expect us to stand back and wait on others to do his work. He expects us to show and perform actions of love to the world that he might be glorified!
